We are seeking a skilled Maritime IT Support Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will be responsible for maintaining and managing Maritime IT infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable systems, and providing end-user support across diverse technical environments.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in system administration, network and hardware configuration, virtualization, and cybersecurity, combined with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to support both office and remote environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee network and security systems, including switches, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and satellite/remote connectivity solutions.
  • Provide technical support to staff, resolving hardware, software, and networking issues efficiently.
  • Install and configure IT hardware (servers, workstations, networking devices, storage, printers, etc.) both in-office and during vessel onboarding.
  • Administer Windows Server (2016–2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Servers, and Terminal Services.
  • Travel overseas to perform IT setup, troubleshooting, and handover for vessels.
  • Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V, including VM migration and backup management.
  • Deploy and manage endpoint security solutions (antivirus, web filtering, email security).
  • Support IT infrastructure during system installations, upgrades, and hardening.
  • Implement and monitor backup, restoration, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Maintain asset and service management logs, procurement support, and user onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT systems align with business needs.
  • Document IT processes, procedures, and knowledge base for internal reference.
