What You Will Be Doing

We are building the digital backbone for electric vehicle charging network in North America and beyond—making it seamless, intelligent, and accessible. As a Senior Android Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering intuitive, high-performance mobile experiences that empower EV drivers to locate chargers, start sessions, track usage, and manage their vehicles on the go.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
Design and develop advanced Android features across the charging experience—station discovery, real-time session tracking, payments, and notificationsWork with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, and modern Android patterns (MVVM/MVI) to deliver maintainable and scalable codeCollaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to turn user needs into elegant solutionsEnsure code quality through automated tests, peer reviews, and continuous integrationOptimize app performance, battery usage, and real-time responsiveness for EV workflowsContribute to architectural decisions and help break down complex features into modular componentsInvestigate and resolve production issues quickly and effectivelyStay updated with the latest Android trends and apply best practices to deliver a world-class appRequirements
5+ years of Android development experience with strong proficiency in KotlinExperience building and scaling production apps with Jetpack libraries (e.g., Compose, Navigation, WorkManager)Strong understanding of mobile architecture (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrationsExperience working on location-based services, maps, or real-time data sync is a plusComfortable with tools like Git, CI/CD systems, and performance profilingExcellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative, product-first mindset

Bonus Points

Experience in EV, mobility, IoT, or energy tech domainsKnowledge of Bluetooth (BLE), RFID, or vehicle telematicsFamiliarity with analytics tools (Firebase, Amplitude, Segment)Exposure to modular app development or multi-module architecturePrior contributions to open-source Android libraries or technical blogs
