Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in New Delhi for a Snake Venom Specialist. The Snake Venom Specialist will be responsible for extracting venom from various snake species, safely handling the snakes, collecting and analyzing the venom, and conducting research on its uses. Additional daily tasks include maintaining accurate records of venom extraction, working in collaboration with other scientists, and ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed. The specialist will also be involved in educating others on the importance and uses of snake venom.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in handling snakes and extracting venom
• Strong background in biology, herpetology, or a related field
• Experience in laboratory research and maintaining accurate records
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in venom extraction
• Excellent observational and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Herpetology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
