Role Description: Sheet Metal & Tooling Drawing Engineer

Location:
Bangalore

Contract Duration:
6 Months

Experience Required:
3–4 Years

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review
    sheet metal component designs
    in line with customer and project requirements.
  • Prepare and interpret
    tooling drawings, jigs, and fixtures
    with precision and clarity.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure feasibility of sheet metal parts and tooling.
  • Support product development through
    design modifications, prototyping, and validation
    .
  • Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, GD&T principles, and organizational guidelines.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers for tooling-related requirements and technical support.
  • Troubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutions during development and production stages.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in
    sheet metal design and fabrication processes
    .
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (such as CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD).
  • Hands-on experience in
    tooling design and detailing of drawings
    .
  • Knowledge of
    GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and manufacturing processes
    .
  • Good communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional team coordination.
