Job Title : QA Automation Engineer (Python) Contract Role

Experience : 5 to 8 Years

Location : Remote (Work from Home India)

Shift : Evening Shift (4 PM 1 AM IST)

Employment Type : Contract (6/12 Months Extendable)

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with 5 years of experience in both automation and manual testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, Playwright, PyTest, Pywinauto, Java with Selenium, API testing (Rest Assured), and SQL.

Experience in mortgage domain, Azure DevOps, and desktop & web application testing is essential.

This is a contract-based opportunity with an immediate joining preference. The role requires collaboration with global teams in US working hours (evening shift).

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop automation test scripts using Python (Playwright, PyTest, Pywinauto).

- Build and maintain automation frameworks for desktop and web applications using Java (Selenium,

WinAppDriver) and Python (Pywinauto).

- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on mortgage business requirements.

- Define automation strategy and identify test cases for web, desktop, and API testing.

- Create and execute API automation using Rest Assured for RESTful services validation.

- Perform SQL-based validation to ensure backend data integrity.

- Work with Azure DevOps for test management, CI/CD integration, and defect tracking.

- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

- Report and track defects with clear documentation (steps, logs, screenshots).

- Apply mortgage domain knowledge in loan origination, servicing, compliance, and default modules.

- Conduct cross-browser and desktop compatibility testing.

- Prepare daily/weekly reports on test progress, automation coverage, and defect metrics.

Key Skills Required

- Strong proficiency in Python (PyTest, Playwright, Pywinauto) and Java (Selenium).

- Hands-on experience in API testing using Rest Assured.

- Solid knowledge of SQL, CI/CD (Azure DevOps), and Git.

- Prior experience in mortgage domain applications.

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently in evening shifts (4 PM - 1 AM IST)

Qualifications :

- Any Degree (Computer Science or related field)
