Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: Minimum 5 Year's to 6 years (Real state / construction industry)

Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with solid expertise in real estate / construction accounting. The individual will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing accounting operations, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and assisting management with financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the full set of accounting records for the company, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
  • Conduct cost accounting, job costing, and allocate project costs accurately.
  • Manage and reconcile bank statements, vendor statements, and customer accounts.
  • Oversee billing & revenue recognition for real estate projects.
  • Handle project accounting including tracking material, labour, subcontractor costs, and overheads.
  • Prepare budgets for projects and for the company; compare actual vs budget and analyze variances.
  • Forecast cash flow required for project operations, vendor payments, and labour.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure accurate cost capture and invoicing.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements: GST, TDS, income tax, and audit.
  • Assist with internal and statutory audits; prepare schedules & work papers.
  • Monitor receivables, follow up on collections, and manage vendor payments.
  • Implement and maintain accounting controls, processes, and system improvements.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and reconciling all accounting entries. Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce. CA / CMA preferred.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience as an accountant in the real estate / construction sector.
  • Deep understanding of real estate accounting principles.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws relevant to real estate: GST, TDS, RERA, and income tax.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, MS Dynamics).
  • Excellent MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and multitask across projects.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with departments. Additional Expectations
