Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor
with a strong background in
news media
to join our dynamic editorial team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in editing for both
electronic media (TV/News channels)
and
digital media platforms
.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit daily news bulletins, special reports, and feature stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Work closely with journalists, producers, and anchors to ensure timely and accurate news content delivery.
  • Trim footage segments, assemble raw footage, and create engaging news packages.
  • Add graphics, lower thirds, transitions, and sound effects for professional presentation.
  • Ensure all content aligns with editorial guidelines and broadcasting standards.
  • Manage video content optimized for web and social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Stay updated with the latest editing tools, techniques, and trends in media.

Requirements:

  • 4–5 years of proven experience as a
    Video Editor
    in the
    news media industry
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    electronic media workflows
    (TV/Newsroom environment) and
    digital media content strategy
    .
  • Proficient in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.
  • Familiarity with newsroom software and video archiving systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced news environment.
  • Excellent sense of timing, visual storytelling, and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mass Communication
    (BAJMC/MAJMC preferred), or
  • Diploma in News Media Editing
    or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Photoshop/Illustrator).
  • Understanding of social media trends in news consumption.
  • Knowledge of multiple languages (as per the regional requirement) is a plus.
