Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases for functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing across web and API layers.
  • Understand product requirements and convert them into test scenarios and test cases.
  • Identify, log, and track bugs to resolution using defect management tools like JIRA.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA leads to reproduce, isolate, and debug issues.
  • Validate API responses using tools like Postman or Swagger.
  • Contribute to test reports and quality metrics documentation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate with peers to ensure timely and quality releases.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in manual testing of web and/or API-based applications.
  • Basic knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test case management tools (e. g., JIRA)
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Understanding of browser developer tools for debugging UI issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of quality for assigned modules.
