The Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets, leveraging dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, photo-realistic video see-through (for immersive mixed reality), as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection.Responsibilities:The job responsibilities may include a subset of the following:Research and development for next generation camera features and image quality improvement for Mixed-reality platforms & AI-camera/video capabilities on mobile & smart glassesPrototype solutions on mobile/XR platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposesDeveloping and/or Optimizing image processing and computer vision algorithms for HW accelerationDesign of camera systems that balance power, memory, silicon area to maximize imaging performanceMinimumqualifications:Bachelors + 3yrs relevant experience, Master's + 2 yrs relevant experience or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and/or closely related fieldBackground in digital signal & image processing, image quality tuningBackground in CMOS sensors and algorithms for sensor and optics processingBackground in multi-camera system design including at least one of following subjects: temporal synchronization, image fusion, depth estimation, dual-camera calibrationWorking knowledge with C, C++, Matlab, PythonPreferred qualifications:5+ years working experience in signal/image processing and/or computer visionExperience in XR related imaging/perception problems, and/or automotive perception is desiredWorking knowledge & experience with modern machine learning techniquesAcademic publications in image processing & computer vision research at top conferences and journalsEducational requirements:Required: Bachelor's in Computer science or Electrical & Computer EngineeringPreferred: Master's or PhD in Computer science or Electrical & Computer EngineeringKeywords: Image Processing, Camera, ISP, Optimization, Computer Vision, Mixed reality, Machine learningMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.ORMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.Applicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
