Job Title: HPE NonStop COBOL85 Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated COBOL85 Developer to join our HPE NonStop application development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HPE NonStop (Tandem) systems, with the ability to design, develop, test, and support enterprise-scale applications.

This role requires a strong technical background, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business and system requirements to identify development or enhancement needs on HPE NonStop systems.
  • Design, develop, and modify applications using COBOL85, SCOBOL, ENSCRIBE, ENFORM, PATHWAY, and TMF.
  • Perform compilation, testing, and validation of programs to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • Prepare detailed test plans and document results in accordance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate deployment activities, ensuring smooth transition of applications into production.
  • Provide post-implementation support and resolve production issues within defined timelines.
  • Utilize HPE NonStop utilities such as FUP, TEDIT, PERUSE, and other relevant tools for development and system maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (B.E. / B.Tech preferred).

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 
    4 years of hands-on experience
     in 
    HPE NonStop (Tandem)
     application development and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in 
    COBOL85, SCOBOL, ENSCRIBE, ENFORM, PATHWAY, TMF
    .
  • Working knowledge of HPE NonStop utilities (
    FUP, TEDIT, PERUSE
    ).
  • Familiarity with 
    TACL, TAL, SQL,
     and 
    MQ
     will be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of program debugging, modification, and deployment processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in coordination with cross-functional teams.
