Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Khidirpur, Kolkata

Working Hours: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Salary: ₹34000-₹35,000 per month

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years

Industry Preference: Candidates with experience in School Accounting will be preferred

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee all accounting operations of our institution. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in educational or school accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle end-to-end financial activities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting operations including ledger, cash book, journal entries, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update student fee records and ensure timely collection and reporting.
  • Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Handle vendor payments, staff salaries, and statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.).
  • Monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
  • Assist in annual audits and coordinate with auditors for smooth completion.
  • Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and MIS reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with school financial policies and accounting standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation of financial data and records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a school or educational institution.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and other accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of taxation, TDS, GST, and other statutory compliances.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹34, ₹35,000.00 per month
