Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop moulds and dies for rubber compression molding products, ensuring functionality and quality.
  • Modify existing tooling designs to accommodate new products and reduce die costs.
  • Study existing mould/die designs and propose suitable changes in product drawings to minimize new die/ modification costs.
  • Collaborate with the product design team to assess the feasibility of manufacturing new products.
  • Coordinate with the production team to gather feedback from initial production runs and implement necessary modifications.
  • Estimate die costs for new products to assist in budgeting and cost control.
  • Maintain accurate records of die components, assemblies, and modifications for effective inventory management.
  • Monitor die inventory levels and oversee maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness.
  • Ensure all design activities comply with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
