Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled
Equipment Engineer
with a strong background in
electrical engineering
to support and improve manufacturing equipment performance in semiconductor fabrication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing semiconductor equipment to ensure high productivity and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with PLCs, power distribution systems, and automation controls for semiconductor equipment.

·      Maintain electrical schematics and documentation for equipment upgrades.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including lithography, etching, deposition, and metrology tools.
  • Experience in troubleshooting with problem solving techniques such as 5-why, 8D, fishbones, etc.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors and cross-functional teams to enhance tool performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving equipment efficiency, uptime, and yield.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and propose improvements to optimize throughput and reduce defects.
  • Work with process engineers to optimize tool parameters for better performance.
  • New Equipment Installation & Qualification
  • Support the installation, testing, and qualification of new semiconductor equipment.
  • Develop and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new tools.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities related to equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Train technicians and operators on best practices for equipment handling.

Required Qualifications

  • Education
    :
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in
    electrical engineering
    ,
    Electronics Engineering
    , or a related field.
  • Experience
    :
  • 2-5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor fabrication tools such as
    Etch, CVD, PVD, CMP, Lithography, or Metrology
    .
  • Hands-on with CAD tools circuit design and simulation (e.g. PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, ADS etc)
  • Technical Skills
    :
  • Strong knowledge of
    electrical circuits, power distribution, sensors, and automation controls
    .
  • Experience with
    PLCs, robotics, and control systems
    .
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting
    HV/LV electrical systems
    and working with
    schematics & layouts
    .
  • Familiarity with
    SEMI standards, cleanroom protocols, and ESD safety
    .
  • Soft Skills
    :
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with
    SECS/GEM communication protocols and fab automation
    .
  • Knowledge of
    data analysis tools
    (Python, JMP, MATLAB, etc.).
  • Certification in
    Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or TPM
    .
