What to expect in this role

We are seeking our Lead Angular Engineer to join our modernization and digital transformation initiatives. This position involves developing a new Angular Single Page Application (SPA), replicating functionalities from existing legacy .NET or Java Server-Side Rendered (SSR) applications. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of modern web development principles, cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and advanced front-end development practices.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement a robust Angular-based SPA, accurately replicating and enhancing functionalities from legacy .NET or Java SSR applications.
• Develop modular, maintainable, and efficient Angular components and services using best practices.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and responsiveness of the application across all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
• Leverage modern design principles, responsive layouts, and CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Material Design, Tailwind CSS).
• Integrate seamlessly with RESTful APIs and implement asynchronous data handling using RxJS. - Create comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools like Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, and Protractor.
• Optimize application performance using advanced techniques like lazy loading, efficient change detection, and code splitting.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams to ensure cohesive integration and exceptional user experiences.
• Actively participate in agile methodologies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, peer code reviews, and pair programming.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance application quality and maintainability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience building and deploying Angular applications, preferably Angular 10 or newer.
• Proven experience in migrating legacy .NET or Java SSR applications to modern Angular-based SPAs.
• Extensive knowledge of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, SCSS/Sass, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Solid experience with state management solutions like NgRx or Redux.
• Strong experience ensuring robust cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.

Skills and Competencies:

• Expertise in Angular framework and associated ecosystems (RxJS, NgRx, Angular Material, PrimeNG).
• Advanced proficiency in HTML/CSS, responsive and mobile-first design principles.
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Extensive experience using version control systems, particularly Git. - Proficient in performance analysis tools and optimization techniques (e.g., Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse).
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate within agile teams.
• Adaptability and continuous improvement mindset to rapidly evolving technologies and project requirements.
