Role Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineer with years of hands-on experience in designing and optimizing ETL frameworks using Microsoft SQL Server, coupled with strong backend development expertise in .NET Core.

This is a pure individual contributor role ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges, building scalable systems, and driving performance without managerial overhead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust ETL frameworks using MSSQL (SSIS, stored procedures, views, indexing, partitioning)
  • Own and optimize end-to-end data pipelines for high-volume, time-sensitive workloads
  • Develop backend services and APIs using .NET Core (C#), integrating seamlessly with ETL workflows
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, and auditability across ingestion, transformation, and delivery stages
  • Apply performance tuning techniques across SQL and .NET layers (e.g., query optimization, caching, async patterns)
  • Collaborate with architects and analysts to translate business logic into scalable data solutions
  • Maintain clear documentation for ETL jobs, data mappings, and backend interfaces.

ETL Frameworks

Deep expertise in SSIS, custom ETL orchestration, error handling, scheduling

MSSQL

Advanced SQL, indexing, partitioning, stored procedures, performance tuning

.NET Core

Strong backend development in C#, REST APIs, dependency injection

Data Architecture

Experience with staging, transformation, and delivery layers

Communication

Clear articulation of technical decisions and data flow logic

Education

Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred:

  • Experience with data warehousing or lake house architectures
