Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the housekeeping desk and act as the communication hub for the department.
  • Assign rooms to housekeeping staff based on occupancy and priority.
  • Track room status and update housekeeping software or logs accordingly.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for amenities, cleaning, or services.
  • Coordinate with front office and maintenance departments for room readiness and repairs.
  • Monitor inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities; raise requisitions as needed.
  • Prepare daily reports such as room status, staff attendance, and shift handovers.
  • Handle lost and found items according to hotel policy.
  • Ensure timely delivery of guest requests and follow-up for completion.
  • Assist in training new housekeeping staff on desk procedures and protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in hospitality preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 23 years in housekeeping operations, preferably with desk coordination experience.
  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in housekeeping software and MS Office.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service standards.
