Job Title: Python Developer Experience: 10+ years Location: Bengaluru
Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Python Developer with extensive experience in software engineering best practices and a strong background in energy trading. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Python development, agile methodologies, and cloud platforms, with a focus on delivering business-critical applications that provide significant value. Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Develop and maintain robust Python-based applications.
  • Agile Development: Work within agile teams, applying lean and agile principles.
  • Code Quality & Testing: Write testable code using Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Solution Design: Interpret requirements, estimate work effort, and design scalable solutions.
  • Microservices & Event-Driven Architecture: Build and deploy event-driven microservices.
  • Database Management: Optimize and manage SQL Server databases for performance.
  • Integration: Handle complex integration scenarios across the ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) landscape.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Leverage Azure, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for efficient deployment.
  • Performance Optimization: Profile and optimize Python code for scalability and efficiency.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices in development.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and developers to ensure aligned solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Python Development: 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Agile & BDD: Proven experience in agile teams and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Cloud & DevOps: Experience with Azure, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions.
  • Databases: Strong knowledge of SQL Server performance optimization.
  • Microservices & FastAPI: Experience with FastAPI, async processing, and event-driven microservices.
  • Software Engineering Principles: Strong understanding of software development best practices.
  • Trading Applications: Experience supporting trading applications.
  • Additional Skills (Preferred):
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Knowledge of C++ or .NET.
  • Awareness of executable documentation.
  • Exposure to energy trading domain.
