Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Integrate and manage AWS SQS for asynchronous messaging and queue-based communication.
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following industry best practices.
  • Design and optimize SQL queries, schemas, and stored procedures to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end technical solutions.
  • Ensure system performance, scalability, reliability, and security across backend systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and system design planning.
  • Implement error handling, security monitoring, and logging mechanisms for backend applications.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong programming expertise in Java (version 8 or above).
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
  • Proficiency in SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) with skills in query optimization and data modeling.
  • Practical experience with AWS SQS or other message queuing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Sound understanding of REST API design principles and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in application performance tuning and designing scalable services.

Qualification

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 38 years of experience as a Backend Developer or Software Engineer.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
