Development managers at Flexera play a pivotal role in crafting and delivering our products and services to the market. They work closely with product managers to ensure alignment with customer needs, architect software systems, write and rigorously test code, and orchestrate deployments to ensure seamless rollouts. Development managers also supervise the engineering teams and work towards their growth, working with them on a day-to-day basis.

As an engineering manager on our SaaS Team, you will be a key player in designing, developing, and maintaining critical work as well as supervising the engineering team. This role requires expertise in Golang and collaboration closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with other components of our system. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of providing technical leadership and implementing SaaS platform technologies.

• Working together with stakeholders to comprehend their needs and requirements
• Providing leadership to the development team, helping them make informed decisions and grow their skills.
• Working with architects in evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and platforms for the solution
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of various components and technologies.
• Ensuring that the solution meets performance, scalability, and security requirements
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues related to the solution
• Participating in the continuous improvement of the solution and its components
• Designing and planning the implementation of the chosen solution
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
• Strong knowledge of various technologies, platforms, and architectural patterns
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for architectural designs, coding guidelines, and best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong focus on Golang.
• Experience in event-driven microservices and microservices observability (tracing, metrics collection, monitoring tools)
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
• Experience working with MongoDB.
• Expertise in Azure services and cloud-native development.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in DevOps practices is a plus
• Experience with frontend technologies like ReactJS is a plus.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
