About the Project:

The CleanSmart Auto-Dispense Pro (Clean Pro) project focuses on developing a hospital-grade smart antimicrobial disinfection trolley designed for operating rooms and ICUs. The system integrates self-dispensing disinfectant cartridges, UV-C docking technology, IoT-enabled cleaning logs, and ergonomic modular design to improve infection control and replace outdated cleaning methods.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented new graduate to assist with the design, development, sourcing, and implementation of the Clean Pro project. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, product design, and healthcare technology. This role involves hands-on collaboration with designers, manufacturers, and suppliers to bring the prototype to production readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in product design and CAD development, including mechanical layout, materials, and component integration.
  • Support the engineering and R&D team in prototype testing, feedback documentation, and design iterations.
  • Conduct market research and supplier sourcing for components, materials, and manufacturing partners.
  • Coordinate with vendors for quotation requests, material specifications, and lead times.
  • Assist in material selection focusing on durability, antimicrobial properties, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain project documentation, including purchase records, design files, and technical reports.
  • Support project management tasks such as scheduling, logistics, and communication with internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate in preparing technical presentations, design briefs, and progress updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360).
  • Interest in healthcare, infection control, or smart device design preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a fast-paced innovation environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Familiarity with IoT systems, sensors, or basic electronics.
  • Experience or coursework related to product prototyping, 3D printing, or materials testing.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for medical or cleaning equipment (e.g., FDA, EPA, ISO).
