About the Role

We're looking for an accomplished Sr Python Microservices to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend systems. As a technical leader, you'll architect modern microservices, guide a high-performing engineering team, and ensure top-tier technical quality across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and own end-to-end technical delivery of backend and microservice-based systems
  • Design and implement scalable microservice architectures and RESTful APIs
  • Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and ensure best coding practices
  • Collaborate with product, DevOps, and QA teams for smooth delivery cycles
  • Drive technical discussions and define architecture blueprints and project roadmaps
  • Implement real-time event-driven systems using SSE, WebSockets, or similar technologies
  • Ensure security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, role-based access)
  • Mentor and upskill developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Oversee performance optimization, scalability, and high-availability deployments

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years of professional Python backend development experience
  • Minimum 3 years in a technical or team leadership capacity
  • Strong expertise in REST API design, microservices, and event-driven systems
  • Proficiency in Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with LlamaIndex, LangChain, or similar AI integration tools
  • Solid database knowledge: PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, or NoSQL equivalents
  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and tracing tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
  • Strong understanding of backend security, authentication, and authorization
  • Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Exposure to MCP and A2A systems
  • Familiarity with LlamaIndex Workflows and workflow tracing
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway)
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and container orchestration
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Hands-on with Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS
  • Working knowledge of Redis/Memcached, Docker, and serverless patterns
  • Experience with performance testing tools (Locust, JMeter)
  • (Optional) Active GitHub or open-source contributions demonstrating thought leadership
