The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Solar PV solutions, providing technical expertise during the sales process, and ensuring customer satisfaction from proposal through project execution. This role bridges the gap between engineering and commercial teams, supporting clients with customized technical and commercial solutions in renewable energy.

Role & responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for solar PV and energy storage systems across commercial, industrial, and utility-scale segments.
  • Engage with clients, EPCs, developers, and government entities to promote company products and solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to customers, highlighting system benefits and ROI.
  • Support tender submissions, RFQs, and RFP responses with accurate technical and commercial inputs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle lead generation, qualification, solution design, pricing, negotiation, and closure.
  • Assess client energy requirements
  • Provide sizing, system design, and product selection for PV modules, inverters, batteries, and other BOS components.
  • Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Support after-sales technical discussions and project handover to the execution team.
  • Stay updated on latest BESS technologies, solar modules, inverter systems, and grid-interactive solutions.
  • Conduct market research on competitors, pricing, and emerging trends in renewable energy.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events.
