Solution Architect – Procurement Transformation (Coupa)· The Enterprise Solution Architect – Procurement is accountable for defining and assuring the architecture of Flutter's procurement technology ecosystem — ensuring all designs align with enterprise principles, integration standards, and strategic outcomes.

· They partner closely with Product, Delivery, Procurement, and Engineering teams (who remain accountable for build, delivery, and operations) — to ensure every initiative delivers measurable business value, supports process optimisation, and contributes to Flutter's global growth and efficiency.

ROLE PURPOSE

• As part of the Enterprise Technology Architecture team, the Enterprise Solution Architect – Procurement acts as a trusted business partner, designing future-ready Procurement technology solutions that deliver growth and resilience globally.
• This role shapes how our global Procurement ecosystem evolves - ensuring Coupa and connected platforms integrate seamlessly, data flows securely, and technology decisions enable both efficiency and innovation.
• Working closely with the Procurement Product & Technology teams, Delivery, Engineering and Enterprise IT functions, this role provides design leadership and architectural oversight for Procurement transformation and ongoing evolution, aligning all change to enterprise strategy, integration standards, and regulatory requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY

Architecture Leadership & Strategy

• Define and maintain the Procurement domain architecture, ensuring alignment to Flutter's enterprise architecture principles and technology strategy.
• Shape the target-state design for the global Procurement ecosystem, centered on Coupa, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and global consistency.
• Translate business and people strategy objectives into coherent, technology-enabled designs and roadmaps.
• Partner with other architects within Enterprise Technology and across the wider organisation to ensure Procurement transformation aligns with adjacent domains such as Finance and HR.

Integration & Data Design

• Provide architectural ownership and oversight for end-to-end integration design across Procurement technologies, working in close collaboration with operational and engineering teams to ensure seamless and secure data exchange with Finance, HR, and other enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with Data & Platform teams to align data models, governance, and migration approaches.
• Identify opportunities to embed automation and AI capabilities that reduce manual effort and improve employee experience.
• Collaborate with Security and Enterprise IT teams to ensure Procurement platforms contribute effectively to the organisation's identity and access management (IAM) strategy, supporting accurate, automated user provisioning and compliance controls.

Governance, Security & Compliance

• Ensure technology designs embed regulatory, security, and privacy controls (e.g. GDPR, SOX).
• Apply enterprise design standards, integration guardrails, and data governance practices across initiatives and programmes.
• Support architectural reviews and provide design assurance across relevant transformation and technology initiatives.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and stability requirements across both transformation and BAU operations.

Collaboration & Delivery Enablement

• Partner with Product Owners, Delivery and Engineering Leads to ensure architectural alignment throughout project lifecycles.
• Work closely with the Procurement Technology team and integration specialists, providing technical direction and design assurance.
• Engage with vendors and implementation partners to ensure alignment to enterprise principles and integration standards.

Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing

• Contribute to the Procurement technology roadmap and influence investment decisions through architecture insight.
• Champion continuous improvement, ensuring lessons from delivery and operations inform future designs.
• Mentor and support teams, promoting architectural best practice and cross-functional collaboration.

SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

• Strong ability to translate complex business needs into scalable, secure, and resilient technical designs.
• Deep understanding of procurement technology ecosystems, including Coupa and its integrations with ERP, supplier management, and contract lifecycle management platforms.
• Clear understanding of integration and data design across enterprise systems.
• Strategic thinker able to balance short-term delivery priorities with long-term architectural vision.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders.
• Awareness of how automation and AI can enhance Procurement processes, efficiency, and employee experience.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across federated teams and diverse global stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS &EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in solution or enterprise architecture within complex, multi-entity or global environments.
• Experience in Coupa solution design and integration with enterprise systems.
• Understanding of end-to-end Procurement processes and technologies — from source-to-contract, procure-to-pay, supplier management and spend analytics.
• Technical expertise in system integration, APIs, middleware, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, and data protection requirements in enterprise systems.
• Experience working within agile, product-led delivery models.
• Exposure to M&A integration, system consolidation, or platform standardisation initiatives
• Desirable certifications: Coupa Solutions Architect, Okta, Sailpoint, Workato, Cloud, and architecture frameworks (TOGAF, iPaaS)
