A Senior Cloud Engineer - Platform Capabilities with expertise in cloud and Azure services who designs and develops innovative products to streamline cloud and Azure service delivery, product management, and adoption. This role focuses on creating and deploying templates, pipelines, and scripts that facilitate, specifically within the Azure ecosystem. The Senior Cloud Engineer - Platform Capabilities will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, ensuring compliance with policies, and enabling rapid deployment of services and applications.
- Design and Implement Cloud Products. This includes creating templates for resource deployment, pipelines for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and scripts for service operations.
- Establish relationships with key technical and non-technical decision-makers to help drive long-term cloud adoption to resolve business problems and develop impactful products.
- Contribute to developing standards and templates for Policy, Guardrails, and Security Posture management.
- Maintain deep technical expertise in the latest cloud technologies, understanding market technology trends, competitive insights, and industry regulatory / compliance requirements.
- Oversees readiness to support new product launches and changes to business rules, processes, and tools.
- Support in testing, development, delivery, and documenting the products, including the handover to operations and delivery.
- Create comprehensive documentation for products. Conduct training sessions for team members to ensure proper utilization of platform products, tools, and practices.
- Proven experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer - Platform Capabilities, with a strong focus on cloud and Azure services.
- Understanding of cloud security principles and experience with infrastructure as a code (IaC), cloud governance, and compliance policies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of Terraform, Azure Bicep, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure Blueprints, Azure DevOps, and scripting languages like PowerShell and Azure CLI.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes and familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are highly desirable.
