Assistant Manager Legal

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts including vendor agreements, distribution agreements, supply contracts, lease agreements, and service-level agreements.
• Maintain a contract management system and ensure timely renewals and compliance.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with industry-specific laws and regulations such as FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Excise Laws, Environment & Packaging regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams and regulatory authorities to secure and maintain required licenses and approvals.

3. Litigation & Dispute Management:

• Support in managing consumer complaints, civil and commercial litigation, labor cases, and regulatory actions.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel, prepare case briefs, and represent the company where appropriate.

4. Corporate Governance:

• Assist in drafting board resolutions, maintaining statutory records, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards.
• Support secretarial functions where needed.

5. Intellectual Property:

• Support trademark registration, renewal, and protection of the companys brands.
• Monitor and take necessary actions on potential IP infringements.

6. Legal Advisory:

• Provide legal opinions and advice to various departments including Marketing, Sales, HR, and Procurement.
• Ensure all marketing campaigns and product packaging comply with applicable advertising and labeling laws.

7. Risk Mitigation:

• Identify legal risks in business processes and propose strategies for mitigation.
• Conduct legal awareness and training sessions for internal teams.
