Role & responsibilities

  • Being a core member of the Finance & Accounts team, in charge of accounting and budgetary control functions for Hindustan Aqua Private Ltd.s Rourkela business including Jharkhand.
  • To maintain financial administration systems and processes that comply with IND AS, guidelines of the Accounting Manual and are consistent with the Company's approach to financial administration.
  • Working closely with the Corporate Finance of the MMG Group to develop exhaustive and detailed financial plans, annual reports, statutory reports, budgets and forecasts.
  • Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Yearly Accounts of the organization.
  • Preparation of Monthly schedules and their reconciliation with the Ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with GST (Direct and Indirect) including GSTR-1, GSTR-2, GSTR-3 and TDS (Form 16A).
  • Handle import and export documentation, customs clearance, and vendor payments.
  • Oversee statutory compliance for taxation, audits, and regulatory filings.
  • Manage costing, budgeting, and variance analysis for plant operations.
  • Lead the finance team at the plant and establish systems from scratch for a new manufacturing unit.
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow statements, working capital requirements, and bank financing documentation.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.
  • Maintain strong liaison with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
  • Preparing accurate financial and management accounting information, ensuring compliance with local corporate reporting and statutory requirements and adhering to tight time schedules.
  • Support in implementation of Finance / Accounting / Costing systems and ensuring that they meet with the overall Company objectives and requirements.
  • Supporting the Corporate Finance in developing manuals and policies incorporating best Finance & Accounting practices which would be reviewed and updated to ensure a top-end benchmark in the industry.
  • Supporting the Corporate Finance in working capital management, forex management and preparation of credit rating related documentation and taxation.
  • Supporting the Corporate Finance in bank financing documentation including preparation of business model.
  • Coordinating with the Corporate Finance members and implementing and supporting in execution of decisions.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Atleast 10-15 years of experience in tasks explained above.
  • CA Mandatory. Any additional degree is beneficial
  • Good communication skills (English, Odia, and Hindi)
  • Independently able to work on the tasks explained in the JD.
  • Experience in ERP Tools such as SAP, Oracle, and/or MS Dynamics
  • Strong People Handling Skills and Leadership Qualities.
