The Position

At Forvis Mazars, we help clients strengthen trust with their customers through independent assurance reports like SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISAE 3402. You'll be part of a specialist team offering practical, strategic guidance—ensuring clients meet compliance expectations and enhance their credibility in the market.

We are seeking an IT auditor with a minimum of two years' experience in auditing technology controls to join our Third Party Assurance audit team. The team specialises in performing SOC 1, ISAE 3402 and SOC 2 audits.

Our Third Party Assurance team currently has six FTE, four of whom are dedicated to SOC 1, ISAE 3402 / SOC 2. We want to supplement this team with an IT audit professional based in India who can help us to deliver excellent service to our clients.

As an experienced member of the team, this person will have the opportunity to support the delivery of a range of SOC 1, ISAE 3402 / SOC 2 assignments within financial services, industry and the public sector.

Advanced technical, communication, multitasking and client relationship skills are required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute IT audits in accordance with established standards (SOC 1, ISAE 3402, or SOC 2)
  • Perform detailed testing and evaluation of IT controls and processes.
  • Document audit procedures, findings, and evidence.
  • Identify and assess risks within IT systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and support audit activities.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
  • Reporting into the senior leadership, working towards the achievement of departmental goals and targets
  • Working to deadlines and within budgets on each assignment
  • Involvement as an ambassador in firm / department / practice development and marketing initiatives

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP are desirable.
  • Proven experience in evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls
  • Strong understanding of IT control frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Qualification in accountancy or relevant industry qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, Compliance Institute, Institute of Internal Auditors, CIMA)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience managing of client relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
