Who you will work with

BCN Customer COE, as part of Bain's expert client delivery network, has the vision to lend expertise, speed and competitiveness to Bain's Pricing, Commercial excellence, Marketing & Customer Experience projects through co-developing and delivering Pricing products, designing Go-to-Market Strategy Solutions and Improve customer experience effectively through client-specific analysis/solutions. In the CoE, we develop products and deliver solutions that help clients identify and fulfil full potential across the entire value chain of sales and customer journey. Also capturing value across – from problem identification, solution designing, and implementation, to capability transfer.

What you'll do

The Senior Associate in the B2B Commercial Excellence vertical of the Center of Excellence (CoE) drives client impact by combining technical problem-solving with go-to-market expertise. As a Senior Associate, you will work with business and internal teams to own, deploy and manage some of Bain's state-of-the-art Commercial Excellence products. You will own workstreams, deliver client-ready outputs, and contribute hands-on to analytics and solution design while also coaching junior team members. This role blends individual contribution and leadership, requiring both strong technical skills and business acumen. Senior Associate's work under the guidance of the COE Manager/ Senior Manager, playing a key role in output delivery, client communication and team management.

• Day to day work planning and team management. Take responsibility for scoping and delegating work streams; monitor and balance workloads within the team
• Lead end-to-end workstreams within client projects, ensuring timely, high quality, error-free analysis and output produced by the team
• Bring strong problem-solving skills clubbed with specialized knowledge of various analytical tools and best practices to deploy them.
• Individually contribute through advanced analytics: data cleaning, feature engineering, modeling, dashboarding, and storytelling.
• Apply and guide the use of Python (mandatory) plus tools such as R, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx to design and implement pricing solutions.
• Translate data into actionable insights to shape client strategy, commercial excellence, and pricing interventions.
• Coach and mentor Associates/Analysts on technical problem-solving and structured delivery.
• Brainstorm with the BCN Manager/Sr. Manager and Bain consulting/specialist team on various aspects of a client project or new IP development
• Drive conversations through analytics to help drive insights through data analysis and story-lining the deliverable to prove/disprove hypotheses in the best interest of the client/project. Understand client/project needs and situations and help team adapt to project expectations and evolving needs
• Consistently provide responsible feedback, coaching and mentoring to analysts and associates working with them to address their professional development needs. Also conduct performance discussions, writing reviews for appraisal (as required)
• Assist in other CoE related activities (e.g., recruiting, training, events etc.)

About you

• Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies – 5-8 years of hands-on industry experience in consulting/ analytics with exposure to B2B pricing or commercial excellence with strong academic record
• Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies – 3-6 years of hands-on industry experience in consulting/ analytics with exposure to B2B pricing or commercial excellence with strong academic record
• Proven ability to deliver hands-on analytics while leading teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are required. Proficiency and experience in Python, R, SQL and analytical tools (such as Alteryx, Tableau) will be preferred.
• Candidates should possess excellent problem solving, analytical, work planning, communication and team leading skills.
