About The Role
We are looking for an accomplished
Data Architect
to lead and scale our data infrastructure, empowering high-performance analytics and product innovation across a fast-growing SaaS environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in
data engineering, backend architecture, and cloud platforms
, along with proven experience in
leading data engineering teams
within high-growth product companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers, fostering technical excellence and growth.
• Architect and optimize scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient data infrastructure.
• Design and enforce data governance, security, and compliance best practices (GDPR, SOC2, etc.).
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define and execute a robust data roadmap.
• Build and maintain high-performance ETL and data processing pipelines using Big Data frameworks.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to enable real-time analytics and insights.
• Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement in data architecture and systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10–12+ years of experience in software/data engineering, with 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience in large-scale, data-heavy product companies.
• Hands-on development experience in Java (preferred), Python, Node.JS, or GoLang.
• Expertise in big data ecosystems – Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Hive, Airflow, Presto, HDFS, YARN, etc.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Proficient in HLD/LLD design, scalable system architecture, and design patterns (Spring Boot / Google Guice).
• Strong grasp of SQL, Python, Scala, and distributed data systems.
• Experience in NoSQL databases (Redis, Cassandra, MongoDB, TiDB).
• Familiarity with DevOps and automation tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Grafana, Ansible).
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in machine learning infrastructure or MLOps.
• Exposure to real-time data analytics and streaming systems.
• Tier-1 educational background (IITs preferred).
• Prior experience building data systems from 0 → 1 in startups or high-scale SaaS environments.
