About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced
GST Manager
to lead our taxation team and oversee all GST-related operations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate filing of returns, manage input tax credit, handle departmental notices and appeals, and maintain strong coordination with tax authorities and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and review monthly filing of GST returns for the company and its clients, ensuring full compliance with GST laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and reconcile input tax credit between books of accounts and GSTR-2A/2B, identifying and rectifying any discrepancies.
  • Handle complex GST notices, appeals, and departmental communications; draft effective responses and represent the company before authorities when required.
  • Liaise with GST departments and other regulatory bodies for audits, assessments, and registrations, ensuring timely resolution of queries or disputes.
  • Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping of all GST-related transactions and ensure books of accounts align with statutory requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in GST and customs laws; train team members and implement process improvements for better compliance and efficiency.
  • Prepare periodic reports and analyses on GST performance and provide strategic insights for tax planning and optimization.

Requirements

  • Qualified
    Chartered Accountant (CA)
    with at least 5 years of relevant experience in GST and indirect taxation, including 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of
    GST and customs laws
    , procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficient in
    MS Excel
    , accounting software, and the
    GST portal
    .
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication skills
    in English (fluency in Hindi or other regional languages is an advantage).
  • Proven ability to lead a team, work under pressure, and meet deadlines with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of
    integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
    .
