Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, Vendor Management
Role Overview:
The Vendor Master role in Accounts Payable is responsible for creating, maintaining, and governing vendor master data in the SAP system to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and internal controls.
This position plays a critical role in preventing duplicate or fraudulent vendor setups, enabling timely and accurate payments, and supporting smooth Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations.

Responsibilities
Vendor Master Data Management

•    Create, update, and maintain vendor master records in the ERP system (e.g., SAP / Oracle / Coupa / Ariba).

•    Review and validate vendor documentation (bank details, tax information, W-9/W-8, GST, PAN, etc.) as per compliance requirements.

•    Ensure appropriate vendor classification (domestic, foreign, intercompany, one-time, etc.).

•    Monitor and prevent duplicate, inactive, or fraudulent vendor records through periodic reviews and control checks.

•    Support vendor merges, blocking/unblocking, and deactivation requests per policy.

Compliance & Controls

•    Adhere to company policies, SOX, and internal controls for vendor creation and modification.

•    Ensure vendor data complies with tax, banking, and legal requirements of respective geographies.

•    Conduct due diligence and vendor validation using tools like D&B, OFAC, or sanctions screening lists.

•    Maintain audit trails and documentation for all changes to vendor master data.

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

•    Relevant Vendor Master Experience

•    Basic understanding of the principles of the Supply Chain Management

•    Knowledge of SAP ECC or S4 Hana 

•    Ability to communicate effectively

•    Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

•    Shared service centre experience in a multinational environment

•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

•    Passion to understand processes & improve efficiencies

•    Focus on problem resolution to eliminate reoccurrence.
