Sr. QA Engineer

Xapton is hiring QA Engineer. The ideal candidates are enthusiastic and motivated persons with a passion for creating lasting customer experiences and are able to respond quickly to multiple project needs. They will work closely with Customers, Product Managers, Operations and will design, develop, and implement solutions using the latest technology and tools. Responsibilities

• Critically evaluate user stories, use cases, and requirements to ensure they are clear, achievable, and aligned with project goals.
• Actively engage with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, development) to gain a comprehensive understanding of requirements, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
• Craft detailed requirement documentation to serve as a reference throughout the development and testing process.
• Decompose requirements into epics, stories, and tasks, creating a structured framework for development and testing efforts.
• Design and document comprehensive test cases that cover both planned and existing functionalities.
• Rigorously execute all levels of testing, including system, integration, and regression, to identify and address defects early in the development cycle.
• Leverage SQL queries to create and analyze test data, ensuring thorough testing scenarios.
• Utilize Postman to perform API testing, validating the functionality and reliability of application interfaces.
• Design and develop automation scripts as needed to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
• Proactively detect, track, and report software defects and inconsistencies, ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
• Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle, continuously seeking to improve the quality of the product.
• Provide clear and concise documentation to support testing efforts and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Regularly communicate the progress of testing activities, providing visibility into completed tasks, upcoming milestones, and any potential roadblocks.
• Deliver accurate estimates for assigned tasks, supported by clear and detailed justifications to ensure transparency and effective planning.

Skillset

Required / Mandatory

• Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile development process.
• Regularly communicate testing progress, milestones, and potential issues.
• Provide accurate estimates for assigned tasks with clear justifications.
• Craft detailed requirement documentation.
• Utilize SQL queries to create and analyze test data.
• Use Postman for API testing.

Preferable / Nice to have

• Experience in any of the Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, XP or Iterative  Design and develop automation scripts to increase testing efficiency.
• in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 6+ years of experience working in Projects
