Job Description:As a Data Engineer, you will develop and maintain scalable data transformation and analytics infrastructure using Snowflake, DBT (Data Build Tool), and modern development practices. You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, tested, and documented data models that drive business decision-making. You will also contribute to data model optimization, performance tuning, and data quality improvements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science engineering or a related field
  • Certification in Snowflake is preferred

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of total experience in data engineering and data pipeline development
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake / Data Build Tool(DBT) development

Essential skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and scripting
  • Deep understanding of Snowflake, and DBT or other ETL / ELT data tools
  • Experience of data warehousing and data modelling concepts

Desired skills

  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Basic knowledge of SAP data models
  • Basic business domain knowledge of Retail

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery and Execution

  • Write clean, modular SQL and Python code for data transformation, feature extraction, and data wrangling across large datasets. Participated in validation, performance tuning, and quality checks for datasets.
  • Having exposure to Agile Development processes.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners and other IT Partners.

Support and Enablement

  • Support senior engineers in designing and optimizing scalable data workflows using Snowflake and DBT to meet enterprise-wide data integration, transformation, and reporting needs
  • Maintain documentation for data processes and data models Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and team ceremonies
