Senior Staff Engineer

We are seeking a Staff Engineer to drive engineering excellence across our Operational Engineering domain, encompassing the Stargate configuration platform, Back Office, Middle Office, and shared execution services. This role is responsible for business process orchestration, cross -entity configuration, and ensuring operational scalability, resilience, and efficiency across global business units. You will be a key technical leader shaping the architecture and modernization of our execution and operations ecosystem. Job Responsibilities Architect scalable operational systems focused on business configurability, workflow orchestration, and entity control.Lead the technical vision for Stargate, the core operational layer powering multi -jurisdictional and multi -product environments.Design and optimize orchestration and automation engines, enabling seamless workflows, reconciliations, and operational intelligence.Modernize Back Office and Middle Office platforms into modular, event -driven architectures.Collaborate with SRE, Platform Engineering, and Risk teams to define and enforce SLAs, observability, and reliability standards.Mentor and guide platform engineers, uplifting design and delivery maturity across operational systems.Champion API -first architecture and governance for consistency and interoperability across operational domains. Requirements10+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, with significant experience in enterprise or financial systems.Proven expertise in architected event -driven, distributed platforms with a focus on resilience and scalability.Strong understanding of DDD, CQRS, and API governance in complex business environments.Experience leading modernization initiatives and transforming legacy systems into microservice -based architectures.Strong collaboration and mentorship skills, with the ability to influence engineering best practices across teams.
