Pixel Solutionz is a Kolkata-based IT company specializing in building modern web, mobile, and AI-driven products for global clients. We are currently expanding our AI team to develop real, production-ready LLM features across our applications.

Role Overview

We are seeking an AI Engineer (1–3 years experience) with strong hands-on exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) and Python/FastAPI. You will collaborate closely with our founders and technical team to design, integrate, and optimize LLM-powered features within live products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with LLMs beyond simple API calls — including open-source models (Llama, Mistral, etc.), custom models, and fine-tuned models.
  • Build and maintain FastAPI-based backend services to expose AI/LLM functionalities to web and mobile applications.
  • Implement prompt pipelines, RAG systems, embeddings, and evaluate AI outputs.
  • Prepare models and microservices for deployment (packaging, performance tuning, logging, configuration management).
  • Collaborate with frontend/backend teams for smooth integration of AI features into product workflows.
  • Document APIs, model behavior, architectures, and key technical decisions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience as an AI/ML Engineer or Backend Engineer with strong AI exposure.
  • Strong Python programming skills.
  • Hands-on experience working with LLMs (open-source models, fine-tuning, embeddings, RAG, etc.).
  • Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI (or equivalent, with willingness to shift).
  • Good understanding of Git workflows and collaborative development practices.

Nice to Have (Preferred, Not Mandatory)

  • Basic deployment knowledge: Docker, virtual environments, configuration management, monitoring.
  • Exposure to AWS or any major cloud platform.
  • Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and vector databases (Pinecone, Qdrant, pgvector, etc.).
  • Side projects, open-source contributions, or a portfolio showcasing LLM/AI work.

  • Passionate about learning and growing in the LLM/GenAI domain.
  • Comfortable converting POCs into reliable, production-ready features.
  • Clear communicator and proactive problem-solver.
