Waiter / Steward

We are looking for a friendly and attentive Waiter/Waitress to join our South Indian restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong knowledge (or willingness to learn) about South Indian cuisine, and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

• Key Responsibilities:Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating.
• Present menus, explain South Indian dishes, and take accurate food and drink orders.
• Provide suggestions and recommendations to guests unfamiliar with South Indian cuisine (e.g., dosa varieties, idli, vada, thali, etc.).
• Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Monitor tables and attend to customers' needs throughout their dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining area before, during, and after service.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and inform the supervisor when necessary.
• Process bills and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
• Qualifications and Skills:Previous experience as a waiter/waitress (preferred).
• Familiarity with South Indian cuisine or willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills in English and [local language if applicable].
• Friendly, patient, and customer-service oriented.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
