Role & responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day site construction activities (RCC, shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, blockwork, plastering, flooring, finishes).
  • Implement and monitor work programs as per project schedule; update progress reports daily/weekly.
  • Enforce quality control procedures: incoming materials inspection, concrete testing, slump/cube tests, dimensional checks and punch-list management.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and suppliers; manage manpower deployment and site logistics.
  • Interpret structural drawings and specifications; prepare shop drawings and mark-outs for execution.
  • Prepare and maintain site documentation: site diary, material receipts, work measurement, daily progress reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Assist in quantity take-offs, measurement sheets and claims for extra works; support project manager in cost control.
  • Ensure safety compliance (PPE, toolbox talks, safety audits) and adherence to statutory/local regulations.
  • Communicate with clients/consultants for approvals, site instructions and handover.
  • Supervise commissioning, testing, and final handover activities; manage snag list closure.

Required Technical Skills:

  • RCC & structural works supervision
  • Reinforcement detailing and shuttering
  • Concrete technology (slump, cube testing, batching)
  • Site QA/QC & documentation
  • Quantity measurement (BOQ) & estimation
  • AutoCAD (for drawings & mark-ups)
  • MS Excel / Word (for reports, measurement sheets)
  • Basic project scheduling (MS Project / Primavera added advantage)
