Roles and Responsibilities 01Ensuring mobilization of the Quality Function
Identification of material and lab equipment required for the purpose of quality testing and control.Undertaking routine / periodic testing and inspection of material and end-product quality
Scheduling Quality Check (QC) activities on a day-to-day basis.Executing quality testing and Inspections as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).Scheduling and coordinating for external quality tests (client).Inspection and testing of procured material at stores to ensure that the incoming material meets quality standards.Evaluation & acceptance of test results.Ensuring maintenance and timely calibration of laboratory and testing equipment.Statistical analysis of test results.Detecting non-conformances and disposal of the same during & after the construction operation.Supervising the site execution works and testing materials / products.Maintaining the documents of inspection. Providing inputs in the designing of material as per quality specifications.Developing mix design for all concrete structures.Analyzing alternative/ new materials identifying areas of cost reduction within specifications.Developing personal skills and competencies / Engaging self with team members, superior for career development path
Undertaking proactive measures for self-development.Ensuring Role Clarity, Targets, KRA's are set and discussed with immediate superior.Striving for excelling Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities on the given job roles for completions of assigned tasks.Ensuring open communication with superiors and other stakeholders for work / grievances.Expansion of technical and commercial skills through continuing education courses, external seminars, webinars and self study.Identifying learning need areas for self and nominate self for appropriate training programs.Charting out the career development path in consultation with immediate superior. Education QualificationsEducational Essential: BE / BTech - Civil
Educational Desirable: ME / MTech - Civil
Computer Software ProficiencyMS Excel, MS Word, Power Point
Experience RangeOverall, 5 to 10 years of exposure in Quality Control function of Well foundation works, Pile foundation works, Pier & Pier caps, Cast in situ & precast concrete, Segment casting & launching, River protection works, Railway, Cable Stayed Bridge, Station Works, Use of Support Fluid.
Work EnvironmentMostly spending time at Quality Control Labs, Batching Plants and visiting site to ascertain if the required quality parameters are matching the specifications. May need to work extra hours to ensure that the projects meet their deadlines. Dealing & convincing all types of people & clients. Maintaining a high-level quality standard at work site. Maintaining a high level of social contact.
