Role & responsibilities

4+ years of hands-on experience in Laravel (latest versions) for building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications.

  • Strong command of PHP (8+), Laravel Eloquent ORM, Blade templating, and Service Container/Repository patterns.
  • Experienced in RESTful API and microservice architecture development using Laravel.
  • Solid knowledge of MySQL and large database optimization including indexing, query profiling, and handling millions of records efficiently.
  • Experience working with MongoDB for flexible, document-based data storage and integrating it with Laravel applications.
  • Skilled in using Redis for:

Query caching, session storage, and job queues.

Performance optimization and reducing database load.

  • Experience using AWS SDK in Laravel for:

File uploads to S3.

Managing RDS connections and performing cloud-based data operations.

  • Familiarity with Amazon SQS for asynchronous task queues and background job processing.
  • Practical experience with Laravel Queues, Events, Jobs, and Notifications for efficient backend processing.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization using Sanctum or Passport (OAuth2).
  • Experience with unit and feature testing using PHPUnit or Pest.

Performance & Scalability

  • Proven experience in optimizing database queries, caching strategies, and response times for high-traffic applications.
  • Strong understanding of load handling, pagination, and indexing for performance tuning.
  • Experience implementing asynchronous task processing using Queues, Redis, and SQS.
  • Familiar with rate limiting, throttling, and memory optimization in Laravel.

Integrations & Cloud Services

  • Integrated multiple third-party APIs (payment gateways, CRM, email, analytics, etc.) using Laravel services and webhooks.
  • Experience with AWS SDK, S3, SES, and RDS for code-based integrations. Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient development workflows. Experience deploying applications on AWS, environments.
