Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a hygienic environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks (e.g. washing, peeling, chopping ingredients)
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized throughout the day
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Dispose of kitchen waste responsibly and follow food safety guidelines
• Support chefs and cooks with tasks during busy periods
• Stock ingredients and supplies as needed
• Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations

Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
