Position Summary - The ideal candidate will oversee regulatory compliance and policy advocacy for Rays Powers solar energy initiatives. Will play a pivotal role in managing interactions with regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance, and supporting our organizations expansion in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with CTUIL, CERC, SERC, CEA regulations, Ministry of Power guidelines, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Liaise effectively regulatory authorities to obtain guidance, approvals, and clearances.
  • Ensure that all renewable energy projects and operations comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Policy Advocacy & Analysis

  • Advocate for favorable renewable energy policies and regulatory reforms.
  • Represent the organization in public consultations, regulatory hearings, and stakeholder meeting
  • Track policy changes and propose strategies to align with evolving energy market requirements

Stakeholder Communication & Management

  • Translate complex regulatory updates into actionable insights for internal teams & management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for submission of regulatory filings, draft comments, and compliance documentation.
  • Design and implement internal compliance frameworks, training programs, and monitoring tools to ensure continuous regulatory alignment.

Technical Skills

  • Manage Open Access Operations GNA Regulations
  • Strong knowledge of Power Market & Regulatory Environment.
  • Strong data analysis skills for regulatory impact assessments, cost modelling, and risk evaluation
  • Familiarity with Software Tools: NSWS Portal

Internal & External Coordination

Internal Teams: Management, Legal, Project Development, F&A - Facilitate effective coordination among internal teams and external regulatory bodies to ensure timely execution of regulatory tasks, approvals, and project milestones.

CERC, SERC, Transmission Utilities, Environmental Authorities, Advocacy bodies, DISCOMs - Maintain regular engagement with bodies such as for timely approvals, clarifications, and updates.

Job Specifications

Qualification - Any Graduate/ Post Graduate. MBA is a plus

Target Companies / Industry - Power

Experience - 10+ years of relevant experience.
