Vedanta's Aluminium Business is one of the world's top and India's largest producer of aluminium at 2.3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The company is rapidly scaling its efforts to become a fully integrated, global leader in aluminium production, offering a wide range of high-quality aluminium products. Vedanta's Bauxite and Coal mines vertical will play a crucial role in this endeavour, being strategically poised to be the largest value creators for the aluminium business.

Head Mine Planning- Coal Mines
at
Mining Business
. This role will be crucial for commencing new mines to achieve the vision.

Roles & Responsibility:

  • Resource Modelling, Pit Optimization, Scheduling.
  • DPR preparation for the mining blocks.
  • Preparation of Mining Plan (Statutory and operational).
  • Conduct various scoping studies, coordinate and undertake feasibility studies, HEMM requirements.
  • Undertake exploration programme including in-fill drilling to capture desired quality and quantity from the mine.
  • Liaise with various statutory bodies of state and central govt authorities for clearances and approvals for compliances purpose like Mining Plan approval from MOC (Ministry of Coal), ground water NOC from CGWB, DGMS approval.
  • Responsible for providing necessary data inputs required for obtaining Forest and Environmental Clearance.

Candidate Profile:

  • 60% and above throughout the education
  • Incumbent should be a B.Tech /M. Tech (Mining Engineer) with an experience 10+ years, preferably in similar roles
  • Knowledge & exposure to project planning & tracking tools like MS Project, Primavera, MS Office, Auto-CAD, documentation management
  • Have demonstrated leadership in mining approvals, commencement and mining operations.
  • Strong understanding of statutory clearances and relevant Acts, regulations & Government guidelines.
