Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Mechanical CAD Engineer to join our engineering team. The role involves supporting design, drafting, and development of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software. The candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers to create accurate 2D drawings, 3D models, and ensure adherence to design standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and update 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
  • Assist in the design and detailing of mechanical components, assemblies, and sheet metal parts.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation.
  • Support prototype development and testing activities.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and revision control of drawings.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve design-related issues.
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety, and quality guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in CAD design (Freshers may also apply).
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or NX.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, assembly).
  • Strong attention to detail with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions from senior engineers.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Basic knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
  • Exposure to FEA (Finite Element Analysis) basics.
  • Hands-on internship or project experience in mechanical design.
