Role & responsibilities

A Design Engineer is responsible for creating and developing new products and systems by translating user needs and design requirements into functional and manufacturable designs. This involves using CAD software, creating prototypes, and collaborating with various teams to ensure designs meet quality standards and production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Creating, developing, and improving product designs using CAD software.
  • Should know how to plan and give nesting for laser cutting machine
  • Prototyping: Building and testing prototypes to assess functionality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Working with other engineers, production teams, and stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and meet requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving design-related issues throughout the development process.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of designs, specifications, and test results.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring designs meet industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimating production, distribution, transportation, and marketing costs for new designs.
  • Staying Updated: Keeping abreast of new technologies and design trends.

Essential Skills:

  • CAD Proficiency: Strong skills in using computer-aided design software.
  • Softwares Knowledge Solid Works and Auto Cad is essential
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and materials.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and present design ideas.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work within budget constraints.

  • Experience : - 3-8 Years
  • Approximate Package – 3 - 4 LPA
  • Experience in Tier 1 Sheet Metal Component Manufacturer Company
