As a Sales Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our software product sales by bridging the gap between technical solutions and customer needs. You will lead a team of sales engineers, providing technical expertise and ensuring successful project implementations for our clients. Your role involves working closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams to deliver tailored software solutions that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and mentor a team of sales engineers, business analysts to support the sales process.
  2. Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide technical solutions.
  3. Design and present software product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts to prospective clients.
  4. Drive successful project implementations by coordinating with engineering, customer success and customer support teams.
  5. Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of the company's software products.
  6. Engage with customers during the pre-sales cycle, addressing technical questions and concerns.
  7. Lead technical discussions and workshops with clients to align on project goals and deliverables.
  8. Oversee the technical scoping of projects and ensure smooth handoff to the implementation team.
  9. Work closely with product management to relay customer feedback and influence product development.
  10. Manage technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses and proposals.
  11. Ensure project timelines and customer satisfaction metrics are met during implementation.
  12. Identify opportunities to improve the sales engineering and implementation processes.
  13. Stay current with industry trends and competitor products to offer cutting-edge solutions.
  14. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for high-priority customer accounts.
  15. Support ongoing sales by driving customer renewals and expansions through technical expertise.
  16. Collaborate with marketing to create technical content for product marketing and sales enablement.
  17. Manage project resources and allocation to meet the implementation schedules.
  18. Ensure documentation of technical solutions and knowledge transfer within the team.
  19. Advocate for customers internally, ensuring their needs are prioritized throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
  20. Drive innovation within the sales engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

BTech / MBA
