Job Description:

This role is with one of our clients which is a Pune-based consultancy specializing in establishing Digital Engineering practices and building the digital tapestry in organizations through formal Systems Engineering methodologies. With integrated digital engineering solutioning they assist organizations to solve engineering problems, embrace emerging technologies and achieve operational excellence. Currently the company engages with various industry domains such as aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment manufacturing and typically with large OEMs, MNCs and PSUs. This role is in the aerospace domain.

Position: Tool Customization Engineer (IBM Tool Chain)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a solution-oriented candidate to join our team working on tool customization creating custom processes, workflows and Dashboards in the IBM environment. As a tool customization Engineer, you will play a major role in implementation of critical of processes for our customers by contributing to digitization.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand existing processes of our customers are using for performing project activities from senior team members / customer interaction opportunities
  • Brainstorm with the team for creative ways of describing the problem
    • Create requirement document to capture the details of customer requirements
  • Formulate solutions by creating digital framework for solution implementation
  • Develop custom workflows for current processes of customers in IBM Engineering Workflow Flow Management (IBM-EWM)
  • In agreement from customer, create work-items, workflows, dashboards, queries etc. to provide the various views as per customer requirements
  • Monitor customer usage and identify drawback and hurdles in usage as instructed by Sr team members / customers
  • Eliminate the issues by implementing the changes and ensure smooth handover

Technical Skills (Must have):

Graduate Engineer (any stream) with hands on experience in IBM toolchain especially IBM EWM

Hands on Programming / Scripting

Java Eclipse customization experience preferred

Soft Skills (Must have):

Problem solving attitude.

Willingness to learn new things.
