The Senior Data Scientist is a technical leadership role with direct accountability for the delivery of multiple projects within the FMCG vertical. Based in Hyderabad, this role collaborates closely with other Data Scientists and consultants to transform client questions and issues into analytical solutions, while managing a small team of technical analysts.

How will you make an impact?

• Analytics Leadership & Quality: Lead project teams to ensure high-quality analytics, driving successful delivery of key FMCG projects
• Strategic Insights Generation: Transform transaction and customer-level data sets into client-ready strategic insights through comprehensive analytics processes
• Solution Design & Implementation: Design and be accountable for solution design, analytical methodology, and quality assurance for analytical projects
• Stakeholder Management: Partner with consultants to scope solutions and ensure projects successfully deliver value to clients
• Team Leadership: Manage and develop a small team of Data Scientists, providing technical guidance and supporting their growth

The superpowers you'll be bringing to the team:

• Technical Analytics Expertise: 6+ years of experience in a highly technical analytics environment, carrying out data analytics or data science work
• Strong Coding Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with large datasets
• Commercial Acumen: Well-developed business understanding to translate client needs into analytical solutions
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in FMCG/CPG or Retail industry (preferred)
• Project Management: Experience in supervising work as a senior team member, project manager, or team leader
• Stakeholder Management: Proven experience managing both internal and external stakeholders in deadline-driven environments
• People Leadership: Experience and interest in people management, mentoring, and development
• Educational Background: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, mathematics, actuarial studies, statistics, physics, or a related discipline
• Advanced Analytics Knowledge: Expertise in data preparation, feature engineering, foundational analytics concepts, model development, and training
