Job Description – Site Engineer (Windmill Projects)

Position: Site Engineer

Location: As per Windmill Project Site Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Industry: Wind Energy / Renewable Energy / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily site activities related to windmill foundation, tower installation, nacelle assembly, and commissioning.
  • Ensure work is carried out strictly as per wind turbine technical drawings, specifications, and OEM guidelines.
  • Coordinate with OEM teams, contractors, crane operators, logistics team, and internal management to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor erection, alignment, torque tightening, cable routing, and mechanical assembly activities at the site.
  • Conduct inspection of incoming materials like tower sections, blades, fasteners, hydraulic tools, lifting equipment, etc.
  • Maintain daily site documentation including progress reports, safety checklists, material consumption records, and issue logs.
  • Identify on-site issues such as alignment errors, material mismatch, equipment malfunction, and provide immediate technical solutions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, including working-at-height protocols, crane safety, and handling heavy components.
  • Support in site audits, quality inspections, and commissioning tests as required.

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of wind turbine components (tower, hub, blades, nacelle, fasteners, hydraulic tools).
  • Ability to read and interpret windmill erection drawings, elevation diagrams, torque/bolt tightening charts, and engineering measurements.
  • Experience in handling or supervising heavy lifting operations (cranes, forklifts, rigging) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly, fabrication, and installation work at project sites.
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with OEM engineers, client representatives, and site teams.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and capability to make correct decisions during critical site operations.
  • Awareness of wind industry safety standards, PPE compliance, and hazard identification.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month
