The
Senior Mechanical Engineer
is responsible for performing and checking engineering activities to deliver custom and engineered or made to order Mechanical design for customers. This role works closely with project team and engineering managers to ensure engineering solutions meet customer requirements, project schedule, and budget. The Senior mechanical engineer must have the ability to work independently with complex, integrated projects across cross functional teams, but also lead engineering projects and initiatives.

This position is part of Pall's Global Process Engineering group Vessels team and will be in Pune India.

This position reports to the Vessel Manager and is part of the Energy+ Global Process Engineering Mechanical and located in Pune, India and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Produce engineering documentation (on time, to budget, and of suitable quality) to support requests for quotes, customer orders, manufacturing, suppliers, etc. such as drawings, Pressure vessel calculations related to ASME codes and standards, data sheets preparation, and procedures which meets customer specifications, current legislation, and the Pall Quality Management System.
• Work as part of a cross functional team designing and detailing products ensuring safety, reliability, robustness, and functionality which is easy to manufacture, operate, and maintain.
• Provide manufacturing support to ensure factories have consistent output, quality, and costs.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical or Equivalent)
• Good understanding of mechanical design principles relating to pressure vessels/housings, hydraulic and process systems, as per international standards.
• Minimum 7-9 years of experience purely into Static pressure vessel design by ASME Codes and Standard.
• Good knowledge of major manufacturing processes including welding, machining, forming, molding/ casting, and sealing mechanisms .
• Ability to multi-task .
• Fluency in English language
• Hands on experience on PVELITE & Auto cad is a must requirement.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Minimum 4-5 years' experience in design of filtration and pressure vessels/housings products or equivalent also hands on experience on PV Elite software (5 years) and inventor software would be added advantage.
