About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with 6–7 years of professional experience in building scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud technologies (preferably AWS), along with a solid understanding of databases and CI/CD pipelines. This role requires hands-on coding, design, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
  • Build and deploy RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and QA teams to refine requirements and deliver high-quality features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices.
  • Implement unit, integration, and automated testing to ensure application stability.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
  • Work with DevOps teams to set up CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
  • Stay updated with emerging Java frameworks, tools, and cloud technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–7 years of professional software development experience with Java/J2EE.
  • Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Framework (Core, Data, Security).
  • Proven experience in RESTful APIs & microservices architecture.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) or other cloud providers.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar).
  • Experience with messaging/streaming platforms like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments (added advantage).
  • Proficiency in unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and exposure to TDD/BDD practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to frontend technologies like Angular or ReactJS (basic level).
  • Knowledge of monitoring & logging tools (Splunk, Prometheus, ELK, New Relic).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Certifications like AWS Certified Developer or Oracle Certified Java Developer.
